The company's journey began in 1929 when it was founded by Dr. Ahmed Khalil, one of Egypt's pioneering optometrists. He laid the foundation for the family business by opening one of the nation's first optical establishments in a prime location.
Initially operating as a retailer and distributor, Terry Optics built its reputation by providing high-quality international brands to clients in Cairo and other major Egyptian cities. Over the decades, the business strategically expanded its operations to include the manufacturing and distribution of its own optical lenses, solidifying its position as a comprehensive provider in the region.
The name "Terry Optics" was introduced by the second generation, who continued to build upon the company's legacy of quality and innovation. Today, the business is professionally managed by the third generation, upholding the founding principles while adapting to the evolving demands of the global optical industry.
